Laval Rocket: Laval vs Bridgeport

  • HFBoards is doing server maintenance Thursday March 13th at 9 AM GMT 5 AM EDT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.
Hughes is a good fit for his role and I'd be happy to keep him. It's not the end of the world if he gets a better opportunity in Europe, though. We can find another veteran backup if need be or just keep Primeau around, I don’t expect he'll have many takers.

That was Beck. He takes a horrible shot from the corner when practically all of Laval was on that side. Goalie just chips it to D who has an easy shot at empty net.

Show some patience, Beck. There was no reason to take that idiotic shot. You have possession set it up for team possession in Islanders zone for a better shot.

5-2. Shit game by Laval. This one was with Hughes in net.

Sigh

Been completely locked out of this site for two days now. I might be able to post sporadically as there is no rhyme or reason to which links work. Just caught the end of the game that was bad. I'm not suprised Beck is a little bit down I can't figure out why he wasn't given an assist on that second goal his hard low shot created the opportunity. I also can't figure out why he tried that impossible angle shot instead of keeping possession.
I love the fact that he makes quick decisions but if he's to get better he's going to have to control the puck and play more than he currently does.

Just one of those games. They are still in first place. Regarding the hype that Hab rookies get from Montreal fans: they are prospects and nothing more. No one player will turn the NHL club club into a sure fire contender. Reinbacher may have the most upside on the farm, but until he proves it, no guarantees. Not sure any of the other players will turn out to be main cogs on the Habs in the future. Beck may become a solid 3rd liner, Engstrom/Mailloux may make it as 3rd pairing, Farrell/Davidson/Roy might help out with Montreal or some other team. Tuch/Florian might become 4th liners. But none of that is a sure thing. Maybe some can be included in a package for a solid 2nd liner. Hopefully Demidov will help.
"The sky is falling"!!!:)

Not that repeating it will make it happen...but Sedgwick HAS to move and make some AHL Moves before deadline. Especially if RHP is seriously hurt.
