Laval Rocket: Laval Rocket vs Belleville Senators, April 18th

On the other hand, if Dobes only plays 20-25 games next year, for the Habs, it may be better for him, long term to be the starter in the AHL next year.
That's a concern. Unless they could have more of a shared workload, then you'd have both a substantial number of games played and Dobes reaping the benefits of facing the best players in the world.

And Dobes doesn't give a damn about what you think evidently. There is a video out with all the best plays of this season you go and watch it and you tell me how many times you see Dobes in it. He is one of the main reasons we are in the post season and every player on the Habs knows it. So ask me if I agree.
Yikes!
I’m not saying he hasn’t had some great games, but honestly, you don’t think he’s also been very lucky at times? He’s all over the place with his movements. He wasn’t really that way in the ahl, which tells me that he’s not quite ready for the speed of the nhl. He’s scrambling A LOT.

Fun fact. Alex Barre Boulet is 7th in scoring in the AHL. Just under Matthew Peca and Charles Hudon. 2 formers Canadiens prospects

I understand the whole vet rule...but imagine ex-habs being in this lineup....Chris Terry, Hudon, Anthony Richard, Peca.

Sure but I call it battling and as unorthodox as it is that isn't what counts at the end of the day.
I think he is only going to get better and quieter as he progresses in his profession.
Like I said it really doesn't matter what you or I think it comes down to what his team mates think.

The nhl isn’t a development league and it’s not based on what his team mates think. It’s what management thinks. Yes, he’s made some fantastic saves and has stolen some games. You can call it what you want, but his scrambling will definitely cost him in the nhl the longer it goes on. Hopefully he gets his timing.

Yeah and I'm sure they absolutely love his mental fortitude and you are naive if you don't think what the players think counts for anything. Why was it we didn't move players at the TDL again? :dunno:
