I would like every AHL teams to meet all the others, not just the ones in their respective Conference. A bit like their NHL parents clubs are doing. Right now, it is like two separate leagues. Only the Conference winners meet each other at the Cup Finals.

Definitely money related. Laval travelling to the west coast would either require several days of bus or using a plane, which are both very expensive for the AHL.
