For how long Is Houle signed?? The farm is absolutely brutal to watch...
Houle is on the 2nd year of a 3-year contract he signed in 2021.

At the end of the 2nd, Hershey leads it in shots 16-15. Score remains Hershey 3-0.

Anthony Richard puts the Rocket on the board.

Rocket trails 1-3 with less than 15 minutes to go in the 3rd.

And just as the team was showing a sign of life, Rem Pitlick is awarded a 4 minute penalty further to hitting an opponent in the face with his stick.

Hershey however draws a penalty of their own during their 4-minute PP.

That looked in
Crossbar, I think. Sure fooled Rocket’s PxP guy, Anthony Marcotte, who made a goal call on that shot only to retract it immediately after.

Since play has just stopped after that shot, they’re reviewing it now to see if it went in.

Laval coughs up a 4th goal on an empty netter, with less than 3 minutes to go in the 3rd.

Kessy, a goon, face washed Richard and draws a penalty.

Earlier, he got into a spat with Kevin Poulin.

And that’s all she wrote:

Rocket’s only goal by Anthony Richard.

More than 50% of the team is different from the one who went to their Conference Finals last June. Their D is brutal. Normally , Guhle, Harris, and Xhekaj should be in Laval. Ouellet, Belpedio and Paquette Bisson, too.

Ylonen is ok, but still disappears a lot. Barron is starting to put up points at least. Norlinder will be back in Sweden at some point I'd bet. I just don't see what the hype was. Mysak wont be an nhler. Simoneau is producing but is probably too small.

This is why the Habs must continue to draft high and aquire elite talent. Otherwise, we're just in for more mediocrity and barely squeeking into the playoffs once in a while. That being said, there are some potentially great players coming soon (I wouldn't say "elite" though)
I really don’t mind our draft results right now but we’ve got a long way to go in rebuilding the organization.

Yeah, I don't think HuGo expected all of Xhekaj, Harris & Guhle to make the team this year. My suspicion is they expected 2: Guhle, and one of Harris or Barron. And potentially just Guhle.

If Matheson & Edmundson don't get injured in training camp ... Laval D might look really different.

Add in Fairbrother's season ending injury, and it's a blow to Laval's D corp.

They really need that Guhle, Xhekaj, Fairbrother type physical, shut down D. I really wasn't happy with them not re-signing Belpedio.
