If not for Dobes this game would be out of hand by now.

Roy almost scored, that would have been a beauty and his 2nd point of the night. He's had his ups and downs this game.

I like what i've seen from Davidson again. After the healthy scratch he's been back in the lineup for 2 games and has played well in both. Seems like he got whatever message Houle was trying to send, too bad Maillet didn't get his message when Houle dropped him down to the 4th line. He's been terrible mostly.

Wow. That looked like 3 guys who knew what they were doing!

Dobes has made some great stops. The 2 he gave up early I felt were stoppable though. Maybe not the 3rd.

Anderson is back at practice.

He would’ve been with the habs by now the way he was scoring

Very disappointing year so far. 30th worst winning % in the league, only two teams are worse. The Rocket will definitely finish in the bottom half. Hope is for the progression of some individual players.

I know it would take a pretty good winning streak, but they only need to climb into 5th to make the playoffs. Belleville is 7 pts up.

I hope they make it! Utica is also ahead of Laval, by 6 points. It would take some losing by two teams and a very hot streak for Laval. Still posible but.. Team success is good for everyone, but even after this win, my positive takeaways are the individual performances of Dobes, Arber, and a few others.

They play so many games within the division, it’s very possible to jump up.

I caught some of the second period and most of the third. The score was clearly not indicative of the play. Leigh Valley (LV) outshot Laval by a 2 to 1 margin. We had no organized break out, no speed through the neutral zone and except on a few occasions, never maintained sustained offensive pressure/control in the LV zone. We spent most of the game chasing the puck. The best that could be said about the Rocket's game was that they were opportunistic. What was particularly annoying was the LV TV commentator. If the Laval management wants a motivational tool they should force the team to listen to this smug cretin continuously denigrate the Laval team and its players.. I have been watching hockey for a long time and I have rarely heard a more pejorative/biased sport commentator. In short, he openly and repeatedly said Laval is a bad team and that the LV should have beaten them badly. Regrettably, he was correct in his assessment.

I don't know if it was just a bad game but I didn't see one player who would be an improvement on what we now have in Montreal. At least not this year.

Dobes would probably be a #1 goaltender on 10 NHL teams because there is at least 10 with no NHL goaltender.

Utica will probably fall a little without Nemec, I don't see him going back down the way he has played. Should help us

You do realize you've just described a typical Habs game.
