I don't understand the logic saying that not placing Mesar on the first line is somehow depriving him of an opportunity to 'drive the offence' or 'control the pace of the game,' What's preventing him from showing his offensive dynamism on the line(s) that he in fact is playing on? In actuality, he has played with Beck before his injury and has been on the second power play unit since his return from injury.

While Mesar has shown flashes of potential, unless he gets stronger and faster, Montreal will have a lot better options at winger going forward.

Im sorry but where did you see his lack of speed? If anything Mesar's speed is one of his main assets?

As for strength, he's pretty strong for the type of player he is, if he gets bulkier he'll lose his agility.

He's not getting quality ice time and he's not jellying with his teammates offensively. He needs to play with players who have their minds set on the offense and not just hard working guys.

Now you think Mesar isn't fast enough????....Your consistent misreading of player's skating ability is becoming comical.

Why do you attack him? He may have done a bad read, what's the point of pointing fingers in a conversation? Always trying to discredit the poster rather than content?

What are you a detective? What kind of prerogative is this?

Treat everyone equally man, stop thinking you're an enlightened being

@Bombshell11 , if Mesar is only effective if used on the 1st line, on the PP, with very talented offensive players doesn't that limit his effectiveness as a player?

You're making Mesar sound like a slightly better version of Desharnais.

I guess what i am saying is that certain players on the AHL roster are placed in positions to succeed (aka Roy, Beck, Barre-Boulet) while others (aka Mesar) have been placed in positions to prove themselfs, despite the fact that Mesar is more talented offensively than either of those 2 players. I DO LIKE BECK but I dont see why Roy or Barre-Boulet should be hoarding all the quality Ice time at the expense of Mesar's development .

Not because Mesar is my boy but because i legitimately think he would do a much better job playing along side Beck and one of those 2.

Maybe I'm missing something but it seems you've been saying that for three years.

Barre Boulet is probably just the best AHL forward, he's there to help the youth get playoff experience.

Which part? He was 5 pts in 5 games before the injury then they bumped Beck, his linemate and he's now playing with different players.

Why would it be true for Beck who's been playing top minutes and not true for Mesar?

It feels like you've been saying for three years that if only Mesar had a team's offense constructed around him he would validate that.

Beck, I think that he previously spent time on the middle lines in Laval, and he did ok there. And nobody's saying that he'll need to be sheltered in the AHL, it's actually expected that Beck will be a middle six forward playing with middle six wingers and still being effective.

Not sure if you've watched much of the games but Beck has been on the 1st wave of the PP since game 2 or 3 pretty much
