Brossoit has had himself a really strong season and will be deserving of an opportunity to be some team’s starter or 1A/1B option between the pipes.

Assuming New Jersey gets Markstrom, teams like Buffalo, Detroit, Los Angeles,
and Philadelphia would be wise to look into signing him.

What is the standard rate for negotiation rights? 3rd round pick? Would any of these teams be interested in acquiring first right to negotiate a deal prior to hitting UFA?

Selfishly I wish the Jets could keep him as he and Helle compliment each other very well, but he does deserve more of an opportunity to play elsewhere.
Don't assume Markey to Jersey. The return should not be anything close to what Flames fans are saying it will be. They had their chance, we were pressed to make a trade, we'll have some options now

He helped walked Vegas to a cup last year and had lots of potential takers in the summer, what makes you think he’ll have better offers when he’s officially back in backup status?

Because teams without a Hellebuyck level starter need quality backups and are willing to pay more than bottom dollar for it.

Glad he got a decent deal.
