Laughton isn’t even a good 3c, I’d bet all my money on him not being on the 2nd line at all.We haven't found the right fit nor the right line-mates yet and chemistry takes time.
Who knows next year we might have Knies --- Laughton --- Nylander 2nd line.
He hasn't had a lot of opportunity yet to find his footing and his place on the Leafs yet.
Leave it to the usual Leaf Bridge Jumpers to bemoan the loss of a no-talent scrub like Grebenken and mid to late 20’s draft pick who’s not even going to sniff the NHL for at least four years.
Having a chippy, defensively reliable, competent penalty killer who can be a good #3C or a great #4C at the cost of $1.5M is WAY more valuable than a career minor leaguer and the second coming of Fred Gauthier or Ty Biggs.

I’d like to see him right this wrong and get back a 1st rounder like Dubas did. Then hes forgiven for this terrible trade
I mean I cheer for the fan that steps up and is better then those they put down yet to see it however. Where's our Mr InvincibleHe hasn’t found his way here yet, dude wore an A and has played 600 plus games at a respectable level in this league. Now he’s a scrub who shouldn’t be in the lineup, never change fickle nation. Let the guy adjust, then judge.
Grebenkin had the worst stats on the team (personal and on-ice) until Laughton showed up and somehow put up even worse numbers to date, so...Leave it to the usual Leaf Bridge Jumpers to bemoan the loss of a no-talent scrub like Grebenken and mid to late 20’s draft pick who’s not even going to sniff the NHL for at least four years.
That’s why you have to actually watch the games instead of just looking at spreadsheets, my friend.Grebenkin had the worst stats on the team (personal and on-ice) until Laughton showed up and somehow put up even worse numbers to date, so...

Exactly, otherwise you’d miss Laughton being directly responsible for no less than 3 goals against already. That’s why you have to actually watch the games instead of just looking at spreadsheets, my friend.

I only missed the Ottawa game recently and have yet to see Laughton make even one noteworthy positive play - maybe a couple of routine clears on the PK - whereas he has made numerous blunders and shown limited energy and hustle. At least Grebenkin was noticeable in moving his feet and throwing a few hits (a couple of which really should have been boarding minors, but he got away with them). That’s why you have to actually watch the games instead of just looking at spreadsheets, my friend.
I like it. If they aren't going to use Laughton as 3C, I think he makes more sense as 2LW with J.T. and Marner, at least while 2LW is wide open.I think it might make sense to lay off the centre idea and try wing for a bit.

Basically Robertson will stay in as long as he scores, if he doesn't, he's gonna go to the press box, then Jarnkrok/Holmberg are on 3rd or 4th line RW respectively.

Agreed. Laughton on the wing is the only move that makes sense. There are years worth of evidence that Laughton isn't a center.I think it might make sense to lay off the centre idea and try wing for a bit.

They went all in and Philly spanked them. This is why I didn't want to make a TDL move.
The overpayments are insane. A 1st and Grebenkin for Laughton?!
