I think we’ll be battling with Pittsburgh, Philly, NYR and NYI for that last wildcard.

Tampa is too good and Boston are finding their game. They’ll be tough to catch.
Sens have 2 games on hand with Boston so they're reachable if they keep pace and win when they play Boston. But I agree about Tampa: good team, 2 pts ahead with 2 games on hand against Sens. I think that Tampa will take the 3rd seed, Boston drops to a wild card spot.

I just dont want to grind him to dust... Merileinen should be considered next game
I'd like to see him against Calgary and one of the B2B games this weekend, let him choose which one. He'll then get 5 days off before they go on another B2B. For that one, I hope he gets the 1st game (Wpg) so that he can play the remaining games on this road trip after that B2B. If Forsberg plays on the back half of the road trip, he usually does well against the Wild.

It’s possible. Keep in mind Boston is playing well too and they’ve had bad goaltending overall on the season. I wouldn’t expect that to continue. It seems like their finding their game now just like us. I wouldn’t count on us passing Boston although it’s technically very possible but I do agree that they’ll fall behind Tampa. Tampa is better than both us and Boston.

I see us taking the 2nd wildcard behind Boston if things go right … which is not a given.

NYR, Philly and Pittsburgh seem like real threats. I’d never count out a team with a goalie like Shesterkin.
