GDT: Last stop on Diva's hockey tour Perds @ Kings 7 pm CDT

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

Should be a solid loss tonight. We just lost to one of the worst teams in the league, and they were tired after playing 3 games in four nights.

I would don a paper bag but I can’t find it in the emoji menu anymore. What the hell happened to HF boards? Who snuck in here and shaved my moustache?

I honestly think they've improved to the point where next year is not going to be a repeat of this year even if we have the same personnel -- core squad, scouts, coaches and GM. This was a fluke, a factor of too many "top" players who were truly beyond the point where they have to earn their spots. If memory serves, some weren't even playing in the preseason games. As Ted Lasso made all too clear, "it's just PRACTICE" but practice matters. Those around them (including myself!) believed the hype and thought wins would be easy. But failure made them reestablish themselves and I think (hope!) they've come together and made themselves into a team. They've looked like it in the past 10 games or so, win or lose.

I just think continuing the trend of improvement is long term better for the franchise than a top 5, which you KNOW would be traded at the point he became serviceable. It's just the Predators way.

It could happen.

The makeup of the team will change from now to next year. That's guaranteed.

And part of the expectation level coming into this season and the failure "fluke" was a direct result of a similar (though longer and earlier) hot streak last season that vaulted us into a playoff spot. Were we the team before that hot streak? The team that had the hot streak? Or the no-show playoff team?

This season seems to confirm that we were the bumbling team last year before the hot streak. I brief winning streak against some other bad teams that sold at the TDL isn't terribly convincing that we're not still the stumbling, bumbling team we were all season and that we won't return to that game.

I tell you what Fiala was the fastest skater on both teams last night to my eyes and it was a remarkable difference

Very much in agreement on the hot streak affecting our overall feel for what this team was building on.
