To have a working PP, you need to practice it, something they Habs haven't done much yet, they focus on defense and the PK (and the PK was way more awful than the PP last year).

Anything stops them from practicing it?

And I get it, this isn't your first line, but not like they play different on PP. It is stupid predictable, it is static, it is dull...

He was good at the rookie showdown and okay early at camp (vs mostly AHL competition). It's a lot more complicated for him to play against NHL competition.

Time. You need a lot of repetition and they only practiced it once before Laine was injured. Habs have a few days before the season start, it's probably going to be more of a focus now.
