I was inspired to do this thread in light of the 'last active player by birth decade.' Who was last player active player that played in the 80's, 70's, 60's etc.

I left out the 90's obviously as there are still quite a few guys left who started playing in that decade (though I'd be curious to know how many)

10s would be Reg Noble and George Boucher (retired 1931-32)
20s would be Dit Clapper (retired 1946-47)
30s would be Milt Schmidt (retired 1954-55)
50s would be Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita (retired 1979-80)
60s would be Brad Park and Butch Goring (retired 1984-85)
80s would be Mark Recchi and Mike Modano (retired 2010-11)

Seem the 70-80s was a rough era to "survive" one of Lapointe-Orr-Park we can imagine playing in their late 30s has elite Ds tended to do..

Or a Bobby Clarky, has some Trottier veteran years on a contender.
