The Red Wings would need to replace Larkin if traded. In fact they'd need two centers.

Can't see him being traded.

Well i don't know who came up with this crap because Detroit isn't trading Larkin. And even if they did Washington would be the very last team we'd have any interest of trading him to. Since they've no decent picks or prospects to be had.

If Stevie Y is as smart as everyone says he'll cash in on Larkin and Bertuzzi's career seasons. Detroit is years away from even making the playoffs in the Atlantic let alone competing for a Stanley Cup.

Years away? We’re just outside of the playoff spot now with a couple teams getting older. Arguably the two best rookies in the NHL right now. Edvisson and Cossa coming up. Unlimited Cap space.

I give it 1-2 years max before we’re right in the mix
