I'm happy we won, and at home! Lafreniere and Panarin both had their best games in a while. Goalies just can't freeze Kakko shots. He put up four tonight--he should be aiming for at least that many as many nights as possible.

Wasn't the prettiest win. The forecheck was pretty tepid and there were too many chances on the rush by Florida. But whatever. I've accepted that this is how we win games and that's the only number that matters.

I still hate gallant as coach and we still dont look completely cohesive for a big part of the game. And our transition game leaves alot to be desired. We gave Florida way too many prime chances too.

Having said that, laf look really good. Fox is amazing. Panarin cut down on the stupid turnovers and played well. Zibby hit the net and scored. Shesty is amazing. Trocheks line looked really annoying to play against.

The fourth line needs a center. Why not give Rydal a try? Dont think it would make much of a difference, but also dont think it would hurt.

Bread also looked much faster tonight. I don’t know what’s going on with him.

Bread had some space to work with instead of one or two guys on him instantly. Mika was skating like a man possessed and that opened up the ice. Finally some up tempo hockey and they all looked so much better for it.

Kreider did not look good. Maybe shouldn't be back yet or he is really a terrible RW.

I had a feeling the Trocheck line would be good. Him and Vesey worked well with Kreider earlier, so it makes sense that they would work with Goodrow.

If they keep these lines going, Id like to see us get a winger for the Tro line that is a little better than Goodrow. Goodrow makes the 4th line so much better when he is there. Garland would fit perfect next to Tro and Vesey, but that ship is probably sailing since Tocchet got hired as the coach of Van.

Sign Harpur to an extension as a cheap 6th/7th for next year. Don't underestimate a guy that works well in the room.

That said, Kreider didn’t look great at RW. The Rangers life would be so much easier if Kreider wasn’t a f***ing idiot and could just play RW without issue

Somehow the 3 of them managed a single shot attempt... combined.

And that shot attempt only happened because Gauthier was able to beat Marc Staal in a race to a loose puck.

Hoglander would be such a worth while gamble but I can't see them doing it (both Vancouver and NYR tbh.)
