Yeah, Took sole possession of third all time for a rookie. Will likely pass Chelios at 55. Murphy at 60. He may actually set a new record for assists by a rookie. Don't think he can catch points.he's got 51 assists i think.
it's a good thing those betting sites don't make that decisionCelebrini is still the betting Calder favourite with 11 games to go. I really find that crazy.
In the end whether Hutson wins it or not won't matter. If he's as good as he looked this year it will be undeniable to the rest of the league before long. A bit less hype might even help contract talks.
Giveaways/takeaways are counted differently from arena to arena. I don’t put much stock in them.Among the 190+ dmen who've played 600 or more minutes at 5v5, Hutson (1277 minutes) is 3rd for takeaways per 60.

To note, Jayden Struble is also doing very well in that regard.

Honestly, it really should be Hutson. What he’s doing is phenomenal. Hats off to the others but Hutson is having a top five rookie season all-time for a blueliner.I don't think it is. The calder race will go like this.
Mtl makes the playoffs and calgary don't : Lane hutson wins the calder
Calgary makes the playofs and Montreal don't : Wolf wins the calder.
Both Calgary and Mtl makes the playofs : It will be either Hutson or Wolf depending on who plays the best in the important last 10 games. Advantage Wolf cause he can steal games.
Everyone miss the playoffs and Hutson beats the record for the most assist by a rookie dman : Will be Hutson
Everyone miss the playoffs : Will likely be Celebrini but there could be a surprise

Fowler's pretty similar in that, as our scout elegantly put it when we drafted him "He's become the best goalie in every league he's ever played in" and we drafted him after 4-5 goalies in that draft.Hutson has a good chance of winning, but man it's crazy Wolf was drafted in the 7th. His numbers have been absolutely ridiculous everywhere he's been. Having a goaltender like that would be a gamechanger.

Hopefully his career trajectory is similar also.
Fowler is listed at 6'2". He might not be huge, but he's not small either.Yeah, I was thinking that as well. Neither has the 6'2"+ goaltending size teams are looking for in recent years, but they put up the numbers. Can't say much about Fowler though is he's one of the few I don't watch montreal's videos of. Wolf's play is sustainable as he's one of the few Canadian goaltenders I find not only has good technique, but also athleticism.
Celebrini isn't doing anything out of the ordinary, hundreds of rookies have put ut those kinds of numbers. Hutson is re-writing history and making all time top 5 stat lists. Looking at it this way there's no contest.Celebrini is still the betting Calder favourite with 11 games to go. I really find that crazy.

Mailloux could be that scoring defenseman. You can really notice the lack of goal scoring from our back end. Eventually, Hutson will score more, but I think that’s a key element that they lack. They won’t have even a 10 goal scorer on the back end this season. That’s a big problem in my opinion. If the top line isn’t going, we don’t have a solid 2nd line, the 3rd chips in occasionally and the 4th has dried up, there’s no goal scorers on D. This is a definite need
