Time for everyone in the league to give this kid some credit, He is having a great season!!!
Calder Trophy is his if he and MC and MM stay close in the scoring rookie race.

Didn't realize the habs are 0 for 13 when pulling the goalie........yikes. Good find.
Wolf is in the running.

One of the best teams in the league.

He was 6th in scoring on a team that scored 4 goals per game. Lane is 3rd on a team that barely scores 3 goals per game.
That was - amazingly - an off year for Yzerman.

2 points away from 4th in the NHL in D scoring. Two Norris winners and a very probable Hart winner ahead with the top 3 spots. He's just elite as elite can be.
It's pretty damn impressive...
And with his biggest strengths being his work ethic & competitiveness, his ceiling is looking more and more like top 3-5 dman in the league baring career altering injury.

What a steal & what a treat as fans to get to follow his career closely.

Future is bright 😎

Just needs a shot that is a weapon. Right now teams are defending him by covering the options as Hutson rarely shoots.

Hutson is now 11 points away from being in the top 10 for alltime rookie D points. 14 points away from being only the 10th rookie D to get 60 points. 20 points away from being #5 all-time (and #1 in Habs history). He's presently 30th, with 22 games to go.

He's now already 11th all-time for rookie Dman assists, a single assist away from Moritz Seider who holds the 10th position. He needs only 8 more assists to become only the 5th rookie dman in NHL history to get 50 assists. He needs 14 more assists to pass Chris Chelios as #2 all-time. He needs 18 in his last 22 games to tie Larry Murphy as the record holder.

He's now 5 ES points away from the top 10 for rookie D and 13 ES points away from tying the rookie D record. He needs 10 more to break the tie at #3. He's a single ES point away from tying Quinn Hughes's rookie season, with 8 games to go to match Hughes's number of games played.

If Suzuki is going to be a PPG player Lane Hutson will be involved in 50%-60% of those points the majority obviously being assists. I figure say about 11 assists so he just needs to find another 7 amongst our other three lines. Very doable IMO.

While Quinn Hughes did have a better shot at the same age, he's improved tremendously and unlocked a new level offensively. Lane Hutson can and will do the same.
Yep..Quinn had a bad shot early on.

Lane is a very hard worker and he will improve every year

I am pretty sure that he will work his ass off..on his shot this Summer

Not enough National Media glaze about Hutson to be honest.

It will soon enough. Once reports come out of him reaching very rare milestones. He's 8 assists away from becoming only the 5th rookie dman to reach 50 assists, and he has 22 games to reach it, which should be a formality.

He'll quite probably finish somewhere around 5-10th all time rookie D pts. Top 3 assists, top 5 ES pts. Once he reaches all of these, there will be quite enough glazing imo.

I get Celebrini and is seen as "the next one", but what Hutson is doing is hands down more impressive than anyone out there as far as rookies go.
That's very clear. If I had a lot of cash, would definitely bet on him. But letting money sleep for three months just to win 3-1 odds ... that is likely to lose anyway because the narrative has been set for 6 months... nah. If you know you know, and the league knows.

Imagine drafting a really good top 2-3 caliber in each draft with 62nd overall lol!!

I still can't believe that we have that type of talent with only a 62nd selection haha
