No because their current value is not equal?

What does that have to do with who’s got more potential?

You’re exposing your flawed logic.
There is a very real chance Mesar never plays a full season in the NHL. I didn't think you could top your Demidov is generational claim....but claiming Mesar has more potential than Hutson is batshit crazy dude.

Bc trades are often based on potential? Would you have traded Hutson for Mesar before this season then?
Mesar’s value was higher at the 2022 draft and pre-season, i can tell you that much.

Hutson was a highly skilled player back, its not like he changed his identity from 2022…

Do you believe Mesar forgot how to play hockey or something?

Mesar is highly doubtful to even make the NHL but keep trolling

Source please

Yeah a lot of teams including us made the same mistake you are, way undervaluing Hutson.

And you didn't answer my question - it's July 2024, do you trade Huston for Mesar straight up? Simple question.

And as for Mesar, he's a decent prospect but hardly a lock to make the NHL let alone have a long career.

But ok in 5 years, let's review Huston's NHL play/stats vs Mesar's KHL play/stats and see who's having a more productive career. Hutson is looking like a consistent top 10 producing NHL defenseman, you think Mesar will ever be even be a top 50 NHL forward?

How can you guys not have the Mesar guy blocked he has to be trolling
Trolling or a very young fan. At one time I thought he was Mesar's dad, after his latest takes, I think he is either trolling or very young.

What mistake? Not drafting Hutson 1st or taking Mesar at 26th instead of Hutson?

You’re all over the place

Why 2023? You gotta ask the question for 2022 right after the draft.

Sources, did you hear MSL or Vincent talk shit about Mesar?

i guess you dint understand the question you yourself asked, “who’s got the most potential”

You’re arguments have nothing to do with potential, you’re talking about pts, curent trade value etc

Mesar has the talent to deke 3-4 guys at once, has the speed, vision and agility with the puck of any top line elite prospect. He doesnt have the medical condition Hutson has. He was PPG before the injury playing almost no pp and on the third line.

And Mesar is the closest to the skill level of Demidov, which i see them playing together eventually.

You know nothing about the player you’re bashing so i am not surprised you cant come up with hockey arguments to counter what i am saying.

NHL POINTS AS MONTREAL CANADIENS ROOKIE NHL DEFENSEMAN

LANE HUTSON: 41 POINTS IN 49 GAMES

PK SUBBAN: 40 POINTS IN 79 GAMES

IN LESS THAN 30 GAMES

Typo, I meant July 2024. We're talking CURRENT potential so who cares where they were drafted? My point was just that every NHL team undervalued Hutson. If there was a redraft, who do you think goes higher?

So back to July 2024, Hutson has played only 2 NHL games vs O for Mesar. So no NHL track record really. Would you trade Hutson for Mesar straight up? Simple question that you can't or won't answer.

Talent to deke 3-4 guys. Let's see undersized Mesar try that in the NHL. I mean Beck who was drafted after him as well has more NHL games.

Like I said let's revisit in 5 years and see who's right. Deal?

In 2022 theres posts of me saying he was a better hockey player than Slaf

i did lower my expectations once i saw him in rangers games and noticed he looked awful without the puck. And it was a big question mark for me, how come in 2 years of ohl he made almost no progress defensively.

But with the puck hes a tactical genius

Hes often the best offensive player for Laval, playing with scrubs and next to no pp

Is he going to be given the opportunity l to play in the nhl….
No idea
Are they teaching him a lesson for the comments he made this summer and being too honest in front of the cameras? 100% im sure of it.

Hutson has the potential to be a top producer D but Mesar could be playing with Demidov eventually so thats why im leaning towards Mesar for the highest potential.

I like both players and was surprised he got cut so early in 2022 so pleeeease lets not act as im bashing Hutson here cuz im not.

In July 2024, would you have traded Hutson for Mesar straight up? A simple question that gets to the heart of the matter but you still refuse to answer.🧐

I actually answered earlier ??? I said No because Hutsons value is higher

Your question was about potential stop moving the goal posts

Why was Hutson's value higher in July 2024? He'd only played 2 NHL games at that point. When did his value (which includes potential) get higher than Mesar's?

You're so close to getting it

He made some records in the ncaa

While Mesar was playing with scrubs in the ohl

Its really not that hard to know why, it has nothing to do with potential
