Since November 27th, Hutson has the most assists among all dmen, with 24. Theodore, Werenski and Hughes have 22. He's 6th leaguewide for assists since that date, with only Marner, Kucherov, MacKinnon, McDavid and Crosby doing better.

He's 3 assists behind the D leader on the season.
It is the sheltered 20+ minutes he plays a game on our franchise.

Apparently, the main board mouth breathers have gone, over the course of about three or four weeks, from Michkov's calder, to Celebrini being the clear winner by 90% to Wolf.

Meanwhile, Hutson is pacing for a top 3 season in NHL rookie defenseman scoring history.

Hutson just tied the record for the longest point streak (9 games) by a rookie defenseman previously hold by Gostisbehere. Hopefully he will set a new record in Detroit.

Especially, he's on pace to completely shatter the rookie defenseman assists record.

Record is 60.

He has 36 in 47 games, pacing for 63 assists on the season, but more importantly, he has 25 assists in his last 26 and if he keeps that pace, he could go up to 68-70 assists.

That's a lot to ask for. Doesn't mean he can keep up this pace and rhythm. He could hit a slump in the second half of the season.

I think if he reaches 50 pts, it's already very impressive. 60 pts, it's elite. 70 pts, you're talking Norris caliber offensive production.

Interestingly, our boy has two -4 games and an -5 game. Wonder if he can get that number closer to 0 by end of season.

He currently is and it's not close. Who has greater potential Hutson?

Offensive potential? Mesar
Maybe Cooley might do better, hes got an edge right now for sure.

Hutson, that-5 game exposed alot of weaknesses in his game. Right now i would have to put him second behind Cooley.

What separates Hutson from Celebrini IMO...
* Hutson is 8th in the entire NHL for defenseman production (0.83 pts/game)
* Celebrini is 26th in the entire NHL for center production (0.89 pts/game)
