So many of us, wanted the kid to run the PP since game 1.................but MSL wouldn't do it until game whatever................given our horrible start, you have to wonder if Hutson was given the keys to the city and the PP sooner, how many more points would we and he have??
Let's see.... I'm going to guess MORE.

Am I right

All this powerplay talk on the main board right after Hutson assists 3 even strength goals and finishes the night +3.

If you took away every single PP point he has and let every other rookie keep their PP points, he would still be 5th in rookie scoring (21 points), as a D, ahead of forward Cutter Gauthier.

Hutson has 3 goals and 21 assists in the last 22 games and is +9 during that period.

He is 19th in the entire league in points since Nov 27th.

6th in overall D scoring. Hoe's mad.

So 6th in scoring for a defenceman, and 8th in ppg for defenceman. Pretty incredible stuff.
He's a BUST, can't even be top 5 in his rookie year. c'mon, maybe he should put in a little more effort.

if he gets passed over for the calder cause he is a hab
That won’t happen.

He’ll get passed over because there a bias against small blueliners. Look at what folks are saying: ‘If he can tighten up defensively, he’s got a shot…” These people don’t know what they’re talking about.

Yea, he’ll always have limitations. He can’t clear the crease, he won’t lay people out with big hits… but he’s very good at winning puck battles. But people make assumptions without seeing him.

He’s got a really good shot at the Calder. Right now I think it’s his to lose. But if he loses it will be because of that.

If Lane got motivated by seeing his brother play at WJC, I would like to see him lose the Calder and see how he takes that as motivation.

All kidding aside, what impresses me the most after watching every Habs game this year, is that I often find myself saying he was the best player on the ice including the opposition players. I really doubt Flyer and Shark fans are saying that about their rookies.

Kid is NOT being sheltered in any way. 20+ minutes a game. Looks good on the backend too. Fantastic!
