Pacing for 62 points....at same rate he'll finish with 2 goals and 60 apples thats wild
He could go higher if our goal scoring continues to improve. I see him starting to find good chemistry with Suzuki when they are out there together.
Both of those guys are smart enough to find each other or lay it off if they become over pursued.
It's one of the reasons I ranted at the coaching a while back these guys have to be on together as much as possible.
I don't want to be down a goal only to look up and see Savard paired with our first line. It kills me.

I'd be very happy if he has the same impact as markov. It's kind of an apples and oranges comparison though. Markov was more of a traditional #1 dman. Hutson looks like a very dynamic weapon and i have high hopes for him too.
Yeah I don't think it's a good idea to speculate on a career with a raw rookie.
Hopefully he stays healthy and proves he has the energy to play 82 games at a high level.
Who could ask for more than that at this point?

At this point, he has to be the favourite for Calder. Him michkov and celebrini were who I thought would be the finalists. If his production is even close to the top of the rookies, I don't see how he wouldn't be the winner. I also have demidov winning it next year. It'd be absolutely nuts if Habs have back to back Calder winners. It'd only be the 2nd time in the expansion era after Orr and Sanderson won it back to back in 67/68
The awards are so often hype/reputation/media sell jobs that it's going to be hard to be considered the favourite.

Still he's 2 points away from being the points leader and he's been hot meanwhile Michkov has gone 0 for his last 5. In the end it's going to be whoever can best handle the rigours of an 82 game NHL regular season. It's tough for kids to handle the grind, so look at whoever is doing well during January/February as that's the time kids usually hit a wall.

I can easily think of like 10 players on each team. But it doesn't matter who I say because you people will kick and scream Hutson Hutson Hutson.
You can easily think of 10 players on Winnipeg and Columbus who are better PP qbs than Hutson? And you think the problem is people overhyping Hutson... it's fine to criticize him, but this is just delusional hatred.

If you look at those teams' rosters while Laine was there you'll real quickly have to include David Savard and Ben Chiarot to even get to 10 regular top 4-5 Ds

Note that he didn’t say he’s the best defenceman he’s played with, but the best PPQB. Assuming we’re excluding forwards (and even then I’m really only highlighting Gaudreau) the praise is not that wild when you look at both teams’ defence while Laine played with them.

Or maybe you did and you’re just brain dead thinking guys like Byfuglien, Morrissey, Pionk, Jones, or Werenski move the puck like him. I don’t know.

The kid has the second most assist through 35 career games in nhl history!! Only Larry Murphy has more.

But sure the bums who played d in those jets and Columbus teams are better.

I just blocked the guy, and I think it’s the first ever person I block anywhere online and I am 48. No time for stupidity like that.

Lol in his defense, and I'm not thrilled about taking the side of one Skip Bayless, real or not

But he is just joking lol, it's a running gag he's had for a couple years

He admits he wasn't crazy about him at the start, but has since warmed up to him
He just continues to wisecrack the kid stinks because he sticks to his principles lmao (like the real skip bayless, and that's the joke lol)
