14 points in his last 12 games, -1 (he's even, if you remove empty net ES).

He's already rounding out his game as a top pairing D. Absolutely amazing.
Hutson playing top 4 minutes as a 165lbs rookie, and thriving was not what I was expecting. The fact that he's going to get better, faster, and stronger is really exciting.

At this point, he has to be the favourite for Calder. Him michkov and celebrini were who I thought would be the finalists. If his production is even close to the top of the rookies, I don't see how he wouldn't be the winner. I also have demidov winning it next year. It'd be absolutely nuts if Habs have back to back Calder winners. It'd only be the 2nd time in the expansion era after Orr and Sanderson won it back to back in 67/68

I has not expecting this level of dominance from him this early in the season.

I has sure he has going to play like 10-20 AHl games before getting call up in the NHL in December. He is simply incredible.

The best prospect at defence since P.K Subban?

I think he's going to break Chelios's rookie record (64 pts, but in 74 games, Lane is currently pacing for 62). He's already 7th on the list and we aren't even at game #40 yet.

Even the league NHL dmen rookie record might be in play (76 pts), but regardless he would be 6th on the list at 62 pts and you need to go to #14 to have someone who started to play in the 2000s (and there is a single 1990s player on the that top 14 too).

He's tied for 9th in overall D scoring. He might be a cart full of apples, but he earns those apples. Laine wouldn't have as many goals as he does without Hutson.

Even ol Markov didn't top 24 assists til year 3 age 24 lol
And Lane has 49 more games to play too

It took some time for markov but he also was coming into a new culture and he didn't speak a word of English. He didn't play on small ice before either.

Also, he was developed under therrien, which isn't ideal. Finally, the team he came into was not as talented, nor did they play the kind of game that was conducive to racking up points.

These are very different situations.

Slice it how ever you want, Hutson is way better than Markov at the same age and will likely have a more impressive career.

I'd be very happy if he has the same impact as markov. It's kind of an apples and oranges comparison though. Markov was more of a traditional #1 dman. Hutson looks like a very dynamic weapon and i have high hopes for him too.
