Well I think it's very true and far from "one of the worst opinion" on a 130 pages thread and I have defended it with very clear evidence. To recap: ton more goals, in a lower scoring era, a much higher percentage of primary points and getting many first place calder votes against a legitimate star player. You can't ignore 17 goals as a rookie defenseman, in a low scoring era, you just can't. That's outstanding. and as of now, the only pushback is from habs fans, so yeah. But as you can see, I think very highly of his rookie season, that should give you a good idea of what I think about Hutson's season too, no? Btw I think him and Reinbacher is going to be a great, if not elite, pair. I was one of the very few non-habs fan who voted for Reinbacher against Nemec and Jiricek on a poll like 2 years ago and it was considered insane at the time, might not end up being too crazy... I'm not a habs hater, and I think Demidov could end up having a similar impact to what Michkov could end up having too.
"very obvious that’s not what you two are doing lmao"
"that’s clearly not the reason you did it"
I found these 2 statements vague, sorry but I think you were insinuating that I was a habs hater. That's my best guess![]()
Goalscoring by a D can be very situational and consequent of the strategies of a team's make-up, setup plays and the like, which is why Ghost went from 17 in his rookie season to 7 goals in his sophomore season while playing 12 more games in the latter. Habs season record for goals by a D is held by Sheldon Souray, but you will find very few Habs fans who would've taken him over the playmaker, Markov, in that particular season or any other season for that matter.
You may argue that his season was more impressive to you, but it isn't for most people who appreciate the value of playmaking.
