Both of these players were considered done by many due to the nature of their injuries, which is the most surprising to you that they managed to come back to produce in the NHL?

Shouldn’t even be a question regarding what’s most surprising. Kane was looking close to finished but he really didn’t miss that much time. The surprise is the level he’s been able to compete. Landeskog coming back is actually quite shocking to be honest….i thought the only reason he didn’t officially retire is due to $$, but perhaps insurance would have kicked in for that. Either way, gone for 3 years and coming back to play is a pretty big surprise…level of play and how long he can keep going is a different question I think

A bit premature

Maybe if the question is “who has more left to give after coming back”, sure. Landeskog has made it through 2 games.

But in terms of bigger shock that they are even back at all? I mean…what Landeskog is doing is unbelievable. That he looks like..Landeskog (ie, a player who uses his physical nature as an integral part of his game)…to boot, is simply icing on the cake.

Landeskog couldn't play a game for three full years. What kind of comparison is this?

Going to need to see Landy actually stick in the lineup longer to say he’s fully “back” but assuming he does then his recovery easily tops Kane’s. Kane missed what? 1/2 of one season on a hip operation? Landy’s was 3 years. And pretty sure the knee/cartilage thing he had done was pretty revolutionary as well.
