Landeskog Practicing w/Team

I'm not okay with that, there's a much bigger chance of a cheap shot happening in the AHL. Give him a limited role on the 4th line or something on the big club and let him ease himself in.

Meh, I think it's just as likely, if not moreso, that guys like Jamie Benn or Mason Marchment cheap shot him in the NHL playoffs to be honest.

Landy's only option is to cheapshot them first. Go in elbows up doing your best Steve Downie impression.

The chances are still low, but there's definitely a lot more cheap shot artists in the AHL, than the NHL. He'd have to play Benn and Marchment anyway (hopefully).

Just the other day, two undrafted AHL heroes that nobody has ever heard of, I'm pretty sure saw that Jacob MacDonald was going for the defenseman goals record in the AHL, and decided to go out of their way to make a name for themselves by sandwiching him with an ugly hit.

Lucas Vanroboys (139 PIMS in 64 gms) and Scott Sabourin (104 PIMS in 63 gms) approached this play like they had a contract hit out on MacDonald. Seeing he was vulnerable and making the hit anyway.

Eagles haven't played since this game on Friday, but he didn't return to the game after the hit. Only 5 games left for him to beat the record, which might be in doubt now thanks to AHL heroes.

Scott Sabourin, the guy who finished that hit high and hard with MacDonald vulnerable, had 192 PIMS in 59 games last year, and 177 in 51 the year before.

My favorite is when he gets in the box, and the ref skates by, he throws up his hands in the "WTF?" pose. Legitimately didn't think he did anything wrong.

It would be absolutely insane to have Landy play his first real live hockey game in 3 years against the Stars in Round 1 the SCP. Forget the cameras, forget the documentary, forget the drama. You gotta treat GL like any other hockey player coming off rehab. Which means he plays for the Eagles for a few games to get his game legs back.

We're trying to win a Cup, not an Emmy or an Oscar. The place will still go nuts when he hits the ice at Ball.
