Landeskog Practicing w/Team

Yeah, I grew up in a place with no sports teams nearby but the first 2 I followed were the Royals and Cubs and I am fiercely loyal and I could tell stories but yeah, Wrigley is church to me.
Similar (rural Nebraska). I have affiliations all over: Cubs, 49ers, Avs. I used to like the Bulls before I stopped paying attention to the NBA in the late 2000s. My favorite baseball player as a kid was George Brett. I wore #5 because of him. Used to go to KC for World's of Fun/Ocean's of Fun in the summer as a kid, and go to a couple Royals games.

You’re a Niners fan too? Alright, you’re off waivers..for now.

My teams are Avs, Niners and Braves.

My dude. I'm from the part of Iowa that's almost Nebraska so yeah you know then. GB is my favorite athlete of all time, and my first ever sporting event was Royals-Yankees in KC for a 2 game weekend series that my grandmother got us a bus tour package to go see. Highlights included somehow getting to the Yanks hotel for autographs and getting a ton including Yogi Berra, and hilariously a bat boy I thought was Andre Robertson -- the players had a good laugh abou that. The games were losses, first one KC lost like 18-6 or something and I've always hated the Yankees so it stung extra. This is so long ago that the anthem singers were Pearl Bailey one day and Oak Ridge Boys the next haha. Oom poppa mow mow.

He'd have to be activated and there's no cap space for that.

He does not need to be activated off LTIR for an AHL conditioning stint.

—
  • Purpose of LTIR Conditioning Stint:
The primary purpose of this type of conditioning stint is to allow players returning from long-term injuries to get some game time and assess their readiness to return to the NHL.

  • Duration:
The conditioning stint can last up to the longer of six days or three games.

  • Player Permission:
The player must consent to being sent to the AHL for a conditioning stint.

  • Remaining on LTIR:
While on the conditioning stint, the player remains on LTIR and does not count against the NHL roster.

  • Extension:
Teams can request an extension of two more games, but this requires approval from the NHL Commissioner.

6 days and 3 games sounds like a problem I guess. What happens at the end of that time stint, is he required to be re-activsted?

Yea but what's the point of a 3 game conditioning stint if he can't stay there or come here after? If we were a week away from the playoffs it would make sense.

Unless, of course, that some injured players aren't coming back for the regular season like Manson or Girard and these guys are moved to LTIR soon.

I know. I just don’t want to let some futureless scrub take runs at him. Imagine if we get all this way just for someone to break his knee in an Eagles game.
Yeah it would suck, especially for Landy himself. But you gotta expect our playoff opponents taking runs at him, so he's gotta be ready for that.
