A bit slow is his main issue in the NHL. Just couldn't get that extra step. Great defensively and on Faceoffs/PK. But other skills are just average. Bit slow to where he needs to be and so no offence at NHL level. T Nelson proved in the right situation he can be successful though. Maybe someone takes a shot.

Good guy, bad hockey player. Its too bad even a bit of his offence couldn't translate, but not all that surprising. Watching him you won't see a guy who's very skilled, you won't see a guy who is even an average skater, and you won't see a guy who can outmuscle and win board battles. He plays with some grit, but its not really effective. He's great on the draw and can PK, but his actual defensive game isn't really anything special.

It's too bad his offense from 2 years ago/last preseason disappeared. If a team wants a cheap 4C with great leadership, I could see him maybe getting claimed. There are definitely worse players in the NHL

Bakersfield has to be happy that their getting a forward with some NHL experience that could help them score a few goals.

I was looking at the Condors roster and it's a very sad looking offence in Bakersfield.

Probably get Puljujaarvi soon. Once Parenteau gets claimed.

I think the offense in Bakersfield is better than you think it is, it is more of offense by committee group then a group reliant on high pedigree prospects, but it should be able to get the job done. The murmurs in Edmonton at the moment are making it sound like its highly likely Versteeg will be signed by us and we have 2 injured forwards at the moment, while I don't expect a fully healthy roster at any point it's reasonable to think atleast one more forward from the NHL roster will be sent down. Then I think Kyle Platzer is actually ready to take a top 6 role if afforded the opportunity, it may seem like a big jump for a player who seen some healthy scratches last year, but he looks to be ready for it and Joey Benik isn't highly thought of, but I suspect he will be somewhere in between Andrew Miller and Marc Arcobello in terms of impact as a 1st year AHL player.

If Lander gets his offensive confidence back down there he is a completely dominant player at the AHL level, he was over a point per game in his last 2 AHL stints and plays a 200 ft game and can be counted on in all situations.

If the Condors get Lander, Puljujarvi, and Slepyshev (or Pakarinen) once Hendricks and Pak are healthy, they should have no issues scoring goals.

Also no surprise (for me at least) that Lander clears.

I'm not surprised either. He was very inconsistent offensively (with most of his consistency being on the bad side), and although he is pretty good defensively, he isn't good enough at that to make up for his poor offensive play.

Even for a 4C, 1 goal and 3 points in 60 + games is pretty bad. I'm not sure there's many worse offensive players in the NHL, sadly.

Probably because of injuries but hes on the Oilers opening day roster. I like a lot about Landie's game but he just has to start getting some damn points.

Lander is a good defensive player but you have to put up more offence if you want to play in the NHL. I don't see it happening... he has been given plenty of opportunity to put up much more production.

Nope.

My guess is...
Lucic-McDavid-Eberle
Pouliot-RNH-Pitlick
Maroon-Draisaitl-Puljujarvi
Slepyshev-Letestu-Kassian

Offensive blackhole is the term.

Marcus Kruger last season was almost as bad. Nino Niederreiter in 2011 (1 pt in 55 games). Jean-Francois Jacques had 37 games with the Oilers with some prime minutes and scored zero points.
