Put some completely new guys out there.

Next PP:

Zucker - Haula - Mitchell
Scandella - Prosser

Wake up the regular PP and give the hard workers some sort of a reward, too.

Wow seriously. What a play by that line. The Parise-Coyle-Nino line looks dominant. All such good puck possession guys. Coyle/nino are bigger guys that can skate well.

What do you guys think the Wild lines should be if Yeo wants to keep them together.

Parise-Coyle-Nino
xxx-Granlund-Pominville
xx-Koivu-xxx
xxx-Brodz-xxx

Players to work with Fontaine/Cooke/Zucker/Heatley/Mitchell/Haula?

Maybe...

Parise-Coyle-Nino
Zucker-Granlund-Pommer
Fontaine-Koivu-Heatley
Cooke/Brodz/Mitchell

Shelter the 2nd lines minutes and give them mostly offensive zone starts.

Or I mean if you wanna leave everyone together who's playing well...

Parise-Coyle-Nino
Heatley-Granlund-Pommer
XXX-Koivu-Zucker
Cooke-Brodz-Fontaine (Used in a similiar roll to the one they currently play.)

Either way this gives you the ability to roll 4 lines without much hesitation. Which means the legs are fresher...less injuries (hopefully) and just in general a harder team to play against.

Imagine if we could say that Cooke-Brodz-Fontaine is our 4th line. I can't remember the last time we've had a 4th line that is made up of actual NHL caliber players.

I think my favorite lineup is...

Parise-Coyle-Nino
Zucker-Granlund-Pommer
Fontaine-Koivu-Heatley
Cooke-Brodz-Mitchell

1st line are the guys that can grind it out along the boards, wear down the D. Great puck possession line that will get a lot of goals off of the cycle.

2nd line might have to be sheltered a little bit...although Granlund and Pommer are pretty responsible defensively. But Granlund has two speedy sniper wingers that he can feed for goals. This line will get goals off of the rush.

Fontaine-Koivu-Heatley...Fontaine and Koivu are extremely defensively sound and Heatley is when he can get there. But basically pair Koivu with two guys who can put the puck in the net and tell him he has the green light to go beast-mode Koivu and make things happen himself and for his linemates. Weirdly reminds me of when his line mates were Brunette and Mietennen. Heatley and Brunette both being slower guys who (in theory) are good around the net. And Fontaine can probably finish a lot better than Miettenen. lol.

4th line=what our 3rd line currently is. Job is to not allow goals anything else is gravy.

I think Justin Fontaine is deserving of his own discussion thread. What a find by the Wild. Props to Fletcher and scouts on this one.

I think Justin Fontaine is deserting of his own discussion thread. What a find by the Wild. Props to Fletcher and scouts on this one.

As a UMD student when he was on the team I always said that of he and the Connollys (our top line) that fontaine would be the only one with a chance to make the NHL. So glad Fontaine is doing well.

Hockey is such a superstitious sport. Jinxes don't exist, homeboy.

It's a psychological thing that worries fans and gets the idea in their minds. There is no possible way that an announcer mentioning the word "shutout" will cause our goalie to suddenly let in a goal that he otherwise would not.

I mean, the only reason I don't go around saying shutout shutout shutout every game is because if I do I'll eventually be wrong and I'll be shunned around here worse that Edward "Leper" Norton in Kingdom of Heaven.
