Earlier I said we didn't have a goalie capable of stealing a win

I'd say Reimer tonight was the closest we had to a goalie stealing a win in 5 years. What a great performance by him.

Games like tonight are a prime example of how good we can be if we get consistent upper tier goaltending. Our defense isn't going to be perfect, but they suffocate a hell of a lot. Get a goalie capable of shutting the door on the few chances that do get through and we are a tough, tough team to play.

Great to see it in person! 3 out of 4 this week! But this was nearly as frustrating a win to witness as the one over Philly. They should have buried LA.

To see a team go down with 40 shots reminds me of the 2014 Hurricanes. Now I understand...
They played last night and it showed

They went defensive lockdown after the first. Clinical effort to secure a win with a lead.

you know how it seems to track that the players with the lowest shooting percentage on the team are always perceived to be having a bad season based on results bias? teuvo's goal raised his shooting percentage to 7.2%. if he had been shooting just under the 13% he has been during his last two seasons he would have 16.25 goals and 50 points. it's not a stretch to say that he's some decent puck luck away from being a top 10 scorer in the league statistically. he's so massively underrated outside this market.
