Earlier I said we didn't have a goalie capable of stealing a win

I'd say Reimer tonight was the closest we had to a goalie stealing a win in 5 years. What a great performance by him.

Games like tonight are a prime example of how good we can be if we get consistent upper tier goaltending. Our defense isn't going to be perfect, but they suffocate a hell of a lot. Get a goalie capable of shutting the door on the few chances that do get through and we are a tough, tough team to play.

I will say that the Eddy-TVR pairing looks way better the second time that they've grouped those two together than it did the first time. I wonder if it's because of what I've been suspecting, that TVR's now fully recovered from that injury.

you know how it seems to track that the players with the lowest shooting percentage on the team are always perceived to be having a bad season based on results bias? teuvo's goal raised his shooting percentage to 7.2%. if he had been shooting just under the 13% he has been during his last two seasons he would have 16.25 goals and 50 points. it's not a stretch to say that he's some decent puck luck away from being a top 10 scorer in the league statistically. he's so massively underrated outside this market.

Solid analysis. The shutouts by Mac/Mrazek 2/5 and 2/8 last year had me thinking I had ya...not so much.
