Proposal: LAK/NYR

This feels very good for the Rangers but also I get it from LA's perspective too. Not a bad proposal at all.

Also helps Laferriere is from the NYC suburbs in northern NJ, so I could see him being pretty happy about being traded to the Rangers.

I'm at about a 3rd max for Gavrikov. Don't need players that can't stand by commitments & demand a trade the first time something doesn't work out.

But what do you say about players who don't appreciate being lured to town with the promise of playing with a close friend only to dump said friend off to the place you were happily playing at before?

No

We have three young players. Not trading Laf for a guy that walked out on the team a year ago.

Dumoulin paired w anyone other than Feces is a quality 6 and only has two more years left.

If you want to shake things up on D while staying competitive and retaining some youth propose something like a Mikey Anderson for Byram trade. Buff gets a younger defensive Dman signed dirt cheap and freed up some cash while LA gets the left side offensive DMan they have needed since Drew was a rookie.

That's fine, we can help Drury move out his disgruntled player on a long term contract with an NMC. 3rd

Edit: Just had Danault pout his way off the team. Really could have used him last season. Tired of players that don't want to be here.

Idc if you bring in Bobby Orr.

If you have BOTH Dumo and Ceci on the team the D is going nowhere.

Oh I buy out or dump Ceci. He is not in my equation. Don’t worry. Kenny will double up and bring in Nurse to pair w Ceci. We are so F’d with him and Luc in charge.

If Gav is coming back NYR has to take one of Dumoulin or Ceci as part of the package to help balance the books

But didn't said friend force his way out of NYR and reported only wanted to go to LAK? What does that say about said Panarin as a friend?

Drury forced his hand by not leaving any option to return. It wasn't like Bread turned down an offer. None was made and for some reason Drury played the whole hand horribly.

Nah Panarin was a clown, and we were and are better off without him. You can only get so much return for a guy that you've got no interest in re-signing (for good reason), and will only go to one place.

The ill advised Panarin trade just put LA three years behind the rebuild they should have been looking at.

You guys and Anaheim have up and coming Juggernauts, Vancouver and Calgary are starting to rebuild .

Vegas (perennial) and Edmonton (who will always have a punchers chance w Dri and McJesus) are having their time.

LA just doesn’t fit. Can’t sniff the big boys in the division and conference and refuse to see the obvious. Now we are relying on no centers, a bruised brain goalie and a one man defence to be carried by a one dimensional 34 year old winger? Makes no sense. The timing of the Panarin trade only made sense if you a delusional 80 year old GM looking to try and save your job and not caring what the team looks like in 2 years

3 years from now Panarin is retired, Drew is almost 40, Byfield is UFA, Clarke is all that is left with no high end talent in the cupboard. Oh wait we will have 6 more years of middle age Kempe to root for and one more year of Fiala coughing up pucks at the blue line.

Had a chance at Matthieu Darche but we chose Ken Holland. That tells you where are organizations head is at.

And to respond to what you said - exactly my thoughts

I'm not a fan, although I do see what your'e putting together here. If we are going to sweeten the pot to get rid of dman trash then it's gotta be Ceci going out. Doumo isn't horrible. So like Ceci + 2nd + Dvorak for Gavi. Still gotta maybe look at moving Edmunson then signing Trouba. That a massive $ increase to the blue line but it would be a completed different level of performance from the defense for LA.

I don't think I can make it through a season of Dave Maloney having to differentiate between Lafreniere and Laferriere.

This is a pitiful return for Gavrikov who was probably one of the best Rangers last year.

Does Dumoulin even get claimed if he is waived? I doubt it. 35 year old Dman at seasons start making 4 mill for 2 more years. His time on ice has also been shrinking for years including the playoffs this year. He is approaching 3rd pair territory. Easy no. I would want an asset for him to take him off the kings hands.

Laf is a nice player but 40 point forwards aren't getting you a first pair dman who scored 9 less pts than him last year while playing 23 mins a night. The difference isnt also moving up 45 spots from the 4th to 2nd round.

Terrible

You're not factoring in LAK point tax.

Players score 20% more after leaving the org. See Vilardi, PLD, etc.

Lafereirre goes from 45 points to 55 points.
