Good for him, I hope he gets his life in order, addiction is something that is awful for anyone to have to deal with.

A much more thorough story.

http://www.thehockeynews.com/news/a...m-rock-bottom-to-earn-another-shot-at-the-nhl

Situation got so bad that even Evander Kane got involved.

Devin's talent is unquestionable. There were many situations with the Jets where he looked like he had all-star potential. Sadly there were many more where he was flat out benched for the shape he was in.

Regardless, he's been sober & clean for the past year & a half, & a healthy Setoguchi could be a fantastic acquisition. All the best to him!

That he was still able to get 10 goals his one season in Winnipeg given how dire his situation at the time sounds is a testament to his talent.

I'm glad to hear this news, always a good story when someone comes back from rock bottom. I'll be cheering for him.

Happy for Seto. He must have some determination, it will be interesting to see how good he is at this point. Impressive comeback, after not earning a roster spot after his PTO on the 2015-16 Maple Leafs...

Aren't the Kings the team who hired Brantt Myhres to be kind of a locker room presence and somebody the guys can talk to if they have issues like this brewing? Might be a good thing to have someone like that to talk to if it helps him stay away from that stuff. Most players would kill to get one shot at the NHL, I hope he realizes this and takes this seriously this time.

Yeah they hired that guy last season. Here's hoping Seto can get it done. Low risk for the Kings.

It's nice to see Seto getting his life back together and getting a chance to play in the NHL once more. Hopefully his demons are behind him and he can get back to doing what he used to do, score lots of goals...just not against the Jets ;)

If he weren't a King I'd root for him. Always thought he was pretty talented, and had to make his own way. Cool story. No for real cool story.

I am really pulling for him.
Would love for him to conquer awful demons.
The talent is definitely there.
Go Seto from a Jets fan who only just realized the depth of your struggles from a recent
article.
