I don't hate Laine, I'd still take him back on the Jets. I watch hockey to be entertained and Laine is very entertaining. Yeah, he has his flaws, but I think the rest of the team can make up for them easily.

...and you can tell that he's not 100% physically...but he is SOO F**KIN' LAZY out there most of the time...it's almost baffling, like he is trying hard NOT to be engaged... :cry:

..."solid" defensive game??...did you watch??...cuz the only "solid" thing about Laine was the cement in his skates...

...his job is to backcheck to help out his defenseman, not absolutely quit on the play and glide to nowhere...and he didn't cut off any lanes or make an effort to grab any rebound that may have been available...just quit completely on the play...Hell, his head didn't even move to see if anyone else was around, teammate or opponent...it was a truly pathetic display from any hockey player, let alone an NHLer...

Kakko has scored 150 goals less in the NHL than Laine. And Laine has 10 times as many powerplay goals than Lehkonen this season.

Exactly! Many are here only beating off a dead horse. They can watch that horse (Laine) potting 3 goals tomorrow and that horse will soon be beating THEM off!

In no defensive structure are all players supposed to attack the puck carrier, the wingers least of all.

I’m not sure “Laine” and “prime trade asset” with ever got together in a sentence anymore. Unless it’s to say Laine “isn’t” a prime trade asset.
