I wouldn't go that far but I'd definitely say he's struggling with 2nd pair minutes. Being back on the 3rd pair will do him a world of good.
You are correct on that , Myers is a 3rd paired defensemen and some on here have said get rid of Buff and keep Myers .

Ice looked like crap, glad to know the NHL cares so much about ice quality!

Schief and Wheeler missed a good one, Schief back to invisible pre-injury Schief.

Dull game

Free Tanev!

I haven't seen someone missing in action that bad since the production team of "The Nanny" missed editing out a guy in the background throwing a dog into the water

The numbers would suggest Little's line struggled the most. But Scheifele and Wheeler did have a tough time generating offense against the hard Staal match up.

I am right in on the buff bandwagon. He is playing amazing defense. We all knew he was capable but to actually see it is incredible.

I think Maurice described it well in his post game presser. He said buff makes players think twice about going after loose pucks. I definitely saw that with aho a few times hah

Not liking this team's effort of late. A few tweaks and we'll be rolling again.
Helly needs a rest
Not much d depth yet
Players I thought were so-so seem to be missed immensely

Nothing to complain about here - this game was business as usual and we got the job done. Really looking forward to having Trouba, Enstrom and Lowry back we were doing a bit of adventuring in our own end but nothing panic worthy.

Hockey game lasted 2h15 min?? Thats quicker than Laines shot!

Trouba needs to return healthy soon, Buff’s minutes are getting a bit high. Looked tired on 2nd goal against. But I’d rather have a tired Buff than a fresh Myers.

When he plays well defensively, Buff is a beast.

2 points but I am still worried. Most important games ahead and team doesn’t look too good, results are almost too good if you compare it to actual events on ice.

Yes I know we are having injuries but those will happen also in Playoffs. There probably won’t be a single match that We could roll without any injuries.

1st and D must really step up or it is going to be long summer.

Quick, quick thoughts...

Great... Laine (second game he's won in a row with brilliant scoring).

Good... Stastny, Ehlers, Little's line, Armia, Chiarot

Okay... Buff/Morrissey, Copp, Hellebuyck, Scheifele's line

Awful... Kulikov (worst game of the season), Myers (earned the pine), Morrow (I've seen enough, thanks).
