This is great. I sure hope he stays in Montreal. Best place for him. Best fans in the league. Perfect combination. Money is meaningless. Fingers crossed Laine u destines this now. Stay where you’re loved and you’re happy.
Please send a few of them to me Buffalo next time. I made the mistake of going to two games against the Habs, and their fans were so incredibly drunk and belligerent that I swore off ever going to a Habs game again. They literally were pissing on the sidewalk while chanting Ole. I love Montreal as a city (and considered going to McGill), and I know there are terrible fans everywhere, but this was next level.

Let me clarify. The Gabs have the most passionate fans. They love hockey and their club. Laine is loved by them. I hope he understands how special that is and stays there for the rest of his career. Montreal is a very special place to play when the fans love the player. No place like it.

Just reminding the Laine haters I was right.

I think he’s got the best shot in the league.

Since he joined it. He had the best shot ever when he was 17. The selection, accuracy, distance. His backhand is very average though :D

Someone will eventually have a better shot but that guy hasn't shown up yet.

Sabres need to do a year or back to the studs rebuild, again, they are terrible.

Laine scores from further distance in general, Matthews is a better overall goal scorer for sure. He scores a lot of goals from areas that Laine scores very few goals from, close to the net. Laine uses a pretty flexible stick which is really long, and it's not very useful in net front puck battles.

Distance shooting goes to Laine. Wrist or onetimer.
