This guy has impressed me all season.

If we were not a flawed group on the back end, Lagesson playing the left side on the third pair would have been solid.

Hope he clears but if not my final memory of him will be a good one. That tackle on Okposo during lily's bs 1st period hooking penalty. :)

Lett not make the predictable mistake of over estimating mediocre players on our favourite team.

Lagesson is an AHL defenceman who’s at best a #10 or #11 defenseman at the NHL level.

Nobody is going to be clamouring to claim this guy off the scrap heap.

Isn't this to make room for Edmundson?
I suck at rosternomics but it seems to me they needed the space.

Teams are paying 3rd + 5ths for similar scraps that are even older. One should never underestimate the value of scraps.

My fault for not being specific though, I was thinking roster size rather than cap space but it seems they're at 23/23 now which will get interesting when Giordano comes off the IR.
 
He may be claimed due to defencemen being traded from some teams. The notion that he may clear is why the transaction isn't too great of a high risk proposition. He's shown well enough during his opportunities yet he's also a pending UFA.
 
How does a guy like Lagesson not get traded for a 5th or something like that? In a world where 4, 5, 6 guys on bad teams get moved for 3rd round picks so they can play 5, 6, 7 roles on contenders, there’s got to be a business case that a 6, 7 on a playoff team should carry value on the market.

Or am I out to lunch here.

Looked serviceable in 5he games he played this year, hope we don’t lose him for nothing…….
