We *definitely* miss him
Especially because Pezzeta has become unplayable..

It's definitely finally caught up to the team a bit
We'll look so much better when he's back
Really looking forward to Heineman being back, at 100%.

I would like to see if RHP can add something that Pez can't, even though RHP is slower...

And Pez has? Over the last 5 years?
He’s faster, bigger, has fought (not well but still has) hits constantly when he’s out there. Aside from RHP’s first call up when he was scoring at an unsustainable rate, he’s just as useless. If I choose between the 2 playing 5 minutes a night, I could go either way, but I’d probably choose Pezz. RHP is even more useless playing a 4th line role.

Yeah i agree but neither are NHL players. Habs need serious depth.
I'm looking forward to Heineman coming back - to see if he can get us back to at least close to the team we were when he was in the lineup.

One question in my mind is, if we were to bring in someone else, who would sit in a healthy lineup? At the end of the day it's a good problem to have, and my answer is I would have no problem sitting Dvorak.

I agree that Pez brings energy and actually some speed and also toughness. But Pez is prone to boneheaded turnovers and penalties. RHP at his best is pretty smart with the puck and I think could play well with Evans and Armia. Yes, I'm remembering the first call up RHP, who was very far from useless...

Is the someone else you're bringing in a Center because if they aren't, then Dvo isn't sitting

Ideally Newhook moves to the bottom six, as the someone else brought in is a top 6 forward. So would Newhook be a better bottom six C than Dvo? I'd have to see. If Newhook isn't, then he's just not a bottom 6 C and is only a bottom 6 winger. Because Dvo isn't exactly a great bottom 6 C.

I miss him so much. One of our only good forecheckers. Anderson and Armia can't do everything.

Gallagher tries real hard.

Yes he has but can't seem to manage anymore.

I mean it's either him or Pez. I'd roll the dice with RHP.

I'd go with neither and give Davidson a try. I've said it before but I really like that guy. A true dyed in the wool bottom 6 guy with a great motor.

I actually believe Gorton and Hughes want to avoid sending in our AHL guys into the fray. They had no belief our boys would make the NHL playoffs. They just wanted them to do better and the Rocket to get in the AHL playoffs.

I believe so. Sure he kinda sucks at the dot but then again Dvorak seems to lose all the important ones. I really think that an Anderson, Newhook and Gallagher line would get more points and having 2 speedy guys would help on the forecheck.

I was never a fan of Harvey-Pinard's game, even when he was on a heater and finding the back go the net a couple of years ago because his skating just isn't NHL calibre. His skating is too poor to become a contributor at the NHL level at his size.

If you're going to be an NHL regular at 5'9 there needs to be elements of your game that are elite to compensate for the lack of size and strength, and RHP simply doesn't have any thing in his tool box that even approaches elite. If you are small and weak, you need to have excellent skating so that you aren't getting neutralized physically and he just doesn't.

Nice to see Beck be comfortable last night.

If he can keep that level of comfort and confidence with the puck, it's his spot until the rest of the year. Maybe when Heineman comes back, Hughes trades Dvo to make room for Beck...

We won’t get much back for Dvo, but I’m sure many here, including myself, would just be happy with losing his salary….although I doubt Habs won’t be asked to eat some of his salary, like maybe half.
