Rangers wont get their value back if they traded him now. Id love to say something around Nylander but Idk if Leafs even consider that now. Laf needs to show more.

Rangers fans seem at their end with him and Leafs need a top 6 LW. I think there could be a fit
Nyr isn't trading a 1oa pick less than 3 years into his career for a drop in value even if he has struggled. Leafs wouldn't want to send value back for that kind of player/pick. This will turn into a shit show. Also, the leafs have the same cap issues the rangers do so asking on team to trade a low cost high potential player to a team that doesn't have the same thing to offer back the other way just means this will be a mess.

Also ranger fans aren't done with him at all, they are fed up with how he is used and jerked around the lineup. They are fed up with gallant.

Going to take a lot for a former first overall still on his ELC, even though he hasn’t lit it up yet, he’s still young.
NYR would probably want a First, Nylander and Knies.
I just don’t see NYR trading him, or leafs paying the ask.

Rangers will want a lot, so an overpay for 1OA, and leafs won’t want to pay a lot, because he hasn’t proven it, so for that reason I can’t see a deal because of that.

Anyone asking for that for Laf should be banned from ever watching hockey ever again

Rangers won’t part with him this early.

And if they do, it won’t be for an unproven young player or prospect so there’s no point in offering Robertson. Rangers are trying to win now.

These two teams don’t make good trading partners in this respect.

That’s fine, that’s why I think there isn’t a deal to me made. Rangers will want a lot, and leafs won’t want to pay a lot.

Well I certainly wouldn’t consider offering Nylander.

Toronto: Knies, Niemela and 1st 2023

NYR: Lafranier

Or I’d also be willing to part with Bunting

'23 1st, '24 1st, Knies, Kokkonen
otherwise, NYR needn't bother
My counter is Knies, Sandin, Kokkonen and 2023 1st for Laf

It's so predictable how these threads will go. The reality is 1) The Rangers are still banking on Laf fulfilling his potential and won't trade him for anything less than a huge return, and 2) No team would give up a huge return for Laf considering his lack of production thus far and all the question marks around him.
