Grinding along the wall will only do so much if you can't get into the soft areas of the ice. I barely noticed when Ehlers and KFC were in the OZ, but at least they were being good defensively. An excellent defensive game, but holy f*** TRY TO SCORE A GOAL you smegheads.

Seems like the strategy was to grind out a low scoring game.

Toronto played more than 57 minutes without committing any incident deserving of a penalty.

The game was good overall. A bit embarassing for the Leafs to get outplayed like that by a team missing 2/3rd of its top line and its 1D.

Why did we not challenge at end? It should have been a challenge for both knocking down the puck with a high stick and then a goalie interference. Nothing to lose at that point.

45s of a PK, even 4v3, is less than 10% of a GA. A shootout is 50% to win. As soon as “coming back and scoring on the bounce back” is out of the picture and it’s all defence to the whistle, you just gotta do it.

10s left though, like that goddamn Eichel goal with 8s left, is just inexcusable.
