To LA:

Jesper Wallstedt, G (SHL)

To MINN:

Brock Faber, D (College)

Alex Turcotte, C (AHL)

LA's system is lacking an elite Goalie prospect. Jesper ends this deficit. Have heard the Kings tried to move up from the 2nd round to draft him when he fell a bit in the last draft. The Kings are flush with Centers and Right Handed D.

The Wild receive Faber, a 19 year old local high IQ defensive prospect and 2020 2nd round pick, who can make clean breakout passes consistently and use his skating to evade fore-checkers. The Wild could especially use a well regarded RHD prospect. With Turcotte, he has had injury problems and might just need a fresh start to put that behind him. The former 5th overall pick in the 2019 draft just turned 21 years old.

I feel like this is too much coming from LA but might not be the right parts for Minnesota, who might not give up Wallstedt for anything, but I do want him more than any other goalie or prospect out there that's for sure...would Minnesota be inclined to give anything back in balance?

Edit: ignore me speaking for Minnesota, just realized this was on the main board not ours, I haven't had my coffee today

Hehe, maybe adding Carson Lambos, a LHD prospect. The Kings may need to add a 1st or at minimum a 2nd here. Heading off to work now. Thx.

I think it is overpayment from Kings, but I still will do it.

Minnesota says no. They are stacked in d and with d prospects. Why would they trade a top G prospect they traded up to select?

Right! I noticed the Wild are stacked with LHD (prospects), but not so much with RHD. The end result as mentioned is they traded up for Wallstedt, so baring massive overpayment, they most likely wouldn't trade him.

As much as I absolutely love Faber I'd have to consider this. Kings have Doughty, Roy, Clarke, Faber, Spence, Grans all on the right side and Durzi has really stepped up this season. Kings do not have a legit stud Goalie prospect.

Prospect trades rarely happen, especially top-end prospects like this. The thing with prospects is both teams always like their guy better until they actually get to see what they have in them. Wallstedt being a goalie makes this alot more difficult too.

Depends on what Guerin thinks of Turcotte. If he thinks he is capable of being a top 6 C, it's worth considering.
No, it's really not. Why would Guerin traded are the best G prospect in the world for a C not needed especially next year . You can't actually believe they traded up to select him than trade him.

These are simply your opinions, which were good enough to either get you banned or make you start a new account and hide your post history.

They moved up two spots. They didn't move heaven and earth to get Wallstedt

Do the Kings still need somebody like Fiala, (since it looks like the Wild will end up moving him) and would they consider including Faber in a package for him?

The Wild could use a RHD prospect like Faber, imo. Yes I am a homer and love the kid's game.

edit - In the offseason of course.
