We do get some advantages, but if we trully get as much as Barca fans think, we would be 5 points up on them this year. We got a lot of bad calls go against us this year. Not to the extend Real Madrid Tv would like to believe, but still.

They sound like Boston Red Sox fans in the 2000/2010s whining about the Yankees or Yankees fans today whining about the Dodgers... or everybody whining about the Chiefs since 2020.

As I said both team get favorable treatment.
What is sad though is that from the outside it seems like they are buying their way to the top.

I could never envision a season where Real Madrid or Barcelona drop out of the CL position. The league would do all in their power to prevent that. They rely so much on Barcelona and Real Madrid for their revenues.

That decision is a good example. They want the attention of the world for that Real Madrid vs Barcelona game because of the importance of that game. They clearly reduced the duration of the automatic ban so their World Class star player can get more exposure to the league.

While we're much better than anyone expected we haven't won anything yet. And now Lewa is out at least three weeks, and while I trust Ferran to deputise for him (can't believe I'm typing this...) our bench options now are scarce.

When a match is as good on demand as it probably was live…. Big comeback today after basically giving the match away. Gave Celta two goals, but a deserved win in the end. Inigo could have been sent off, but that goes uncalled more than it goes called and we wouldn’t have got that call either. Penalty was a pen too.

I don’t care how many goals Borja scored, Raph was Man of the Match for me. Nice assist and took his header well considering the cross took a deflection and the ball was going behind him. Also have to say the match really turned with the subs. Fermin has had his matches, but this wasn’t one of them and Olmo coming in made an impact. Ditto with Lamine. Speaking of subs, I really hope we can get Nico Williams this Summer.

As for Celta, tough loss considering they had the lead, but they’re still doing well this season and Giraldez has improved them. He’s leveraging their younger players most of whom he should be familiar with. Kind of nice to be able to go to the bench and bring on Aspas and Fer Lopez (keep an eye on him).

Yeah Fer has looked good in some games.
Alfon is VERY good, already linked to other teams like Sevilla. Duran kid looks potential quality as well

Crazy stat from La Liga, Vinicius is the Real player with the most fouls (27) and the most yellow cards (8) this season. No Lady Bings in his future lol but dare I say no Ballon d'Ors either as fair play is one of the factors in choosing the winner.

They have a 10 point lead and locked up a CL most likely. They also have legitimate chance at the Europa trophy (imo they’ll win) at the san mames. So yeah bet your ass they’re resting players in a meaningless game
