LA Liga 24 25 Thread

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Honestly this game could have been a bloodbath, we hit 3 posts and Atletico's second goal was scored after a blatant hand ball.

Wow, helluva a match for a neutral. I couldn’t watch it live, but was checking the score here and there and after it went 2-0 I figured it was done. 20 minutes left and we pull back 4? Long way to go, but this is the sort of result that wins a league. And it was definitely a fair result in the end. Hopefully the international break doesn’t screw us up.

For me the best part was that multiple players stepped up again and we’re seeing a lot of different players contribute this season. Torres is one of them and he’s doing it from the bench which is never easy, but you also have to remember he’s had a somewhat tough time since we signed him. Also have to single out Lewandowski for an excellent striker’s goal out of virtually nothing to immediately bring us back into the match after we looked down and out just a minute prior.

One more quick note. I knew it was up there, but I’m not sure it was this high, but the 20th match we’ve scored 4 or more goals this season.

Betis are flying. Down 2-0 away at Leganes and they come back to win 3-2. Fifth win a row which is notably better form than all of La Liga apart from Barca during that period. They are now level with Villarreal for the Europa League place and they smashed Vitoria away to advance in the Uefa Conference League. We’ll see if they can come back from the international break with that momentum.

Casado likely out for the season. I’m guessing Eric Garcia will be getting more minutes as a result. Hard to see a silver lining with Casado out, but would like to see Pablo Torre get some more minutes. Also, if Flick promotes anyone, while he’s not a like-for-like for Casado, I’d like to see him promote Aleix Garrido.

Trent will be apparently on 277k/week at Real
That would make him the 9th highest salary at the club (if the 277k figure is Euros):

1 - Mbappé - 600k/week
2- Alaba - 433k/week
3- Vini - 400k/week
4- Jude - 400k/week
5- Valverde - 321k/week
6- Courtois - 288k/week
7- Rudiger - 280k/week
8- Militao - 280k/week
9- Trent - 277k/week
10- Rodrygo - 240k/week

He'll probably get a huge bonus though.
