I’m not going to have a big go at Flick for much of anything including his selection choices, especially as Fort got minutes (and had an excellent play late on I might add). Still, I think guys like Fort might start a match like this, or at the very least get on much sooner. I think he also needs to try and find some more minutes for Torre here and there.

Anyway, strong win again against Valencia.

Bayern loanee Aznou is a very dirty player. Should have had two penalties called against him and a red card but the ref is extremely lenient.

Rayo finally break the deadlock as De Frutos powers past the aforementioned Aznou and crosses to Alvaro who scores. Rayo are sixth and getting serious about Europe next year.

Respectfully mate, are you maybe thinking of another player? I noticed with the box score today that he had significant minutes and so I had a look. I’ll be honest that I was online in the background, but I didn’t see anything dirty much less a red or penalties. Marion Martin, on that left side, did go in high on a Rayo player and then get straight up and kick a player from behind, but that wasn’t Aznou. What Aznou was guilty of was some woeful defending including on the goal where he completely misread the play. Based on that performance I assume the manager won’t be rushing to start him.
