La Liga 24/25 thread

IMO it's a very dark orange, more a red than yellow.

However, the ref found the easy solution, he only gave him a yellow - and he was on a yellow already... So still sent off, but not a direct red.
I actually did not know he was already on a yellow so it makes more sense now.

Cheers for the insight.

It didn't take long for Barca to score, Yamal with an assist, De Jong with a good first touch and finish inside the box in the CF position. Lewa starts on the bench.

Already 3-0 inside the first 15 mins. Valencia clearly didn't come to fight. What was Mamadarshvili thinking coming outside the area like that, he was nowhere near getting to the ball first.

Nice win at home, though Valencia were poor and their tactical approach horrible. To be fair, they should have had a penalty at 3-0, though I doubt it would have mattered.

I personally would have started Torre over Fermin, but shows what i know. IMO Fermin hasn’t had a good season, though to be fair to him he’s largely been played out of position. That said, I stand by my take that Pena should have started. Scezny is too slow and that performance against Benfica should have shown him the bench. At least least Flick did give Torre some minutes thanks to Gavi telling him to put him (Torre) on instead.

Anyway, Fermin was Man of the Match and some nice goals with some nice rotations. Hopefully Valencia shows up the same in the Copa, but sadly I fear that will be a much tougher match.
