La Liga 24/25 thread

I feel like Atlético should have gotten way more out of that game. Sooo many botched counter attacks against that vulnerable backline of Real and they seemed almost afraid to punish them. If that were Barça last night I honestly feel they would be able to score 10, I'm not even exaggerating.

Private hospitals around Barcelona rejoiced the moment Araujo signed that extension fml. Why we didn't sell off last summer/this winter Araujo, de Jong, Gavi, Christensen and Eric Garcia for whatever we could get instead of selling off the press rights, new stadium seats and all new born babies named Jordi in Barcelona for the next 25 years I'll never understand /rant

Nice red Fermin got, especially if you compare it to Ceballos' tackle the other day. Anyway three more points in the bag, we need to win out and La Liga is ours.

I hope the air can recover from this tackle.

Happy with the win and not the sort of win you’d have seen last season. Pedri was excellent again and is with no fanfare having an excellent season. Loved his assist. Raph coming up big yet again and I can’t imagine our season if he’d have been sold. Also, have to enjoy that first goal since we rarely score those sorts of goals.

As for Sevilla, f*** them. Club is run by clowns and everybody knows the club to support in Seville is Betis. Hopefully Pimi gets out of there soon.

Just sticking to this match, Niguez gets a yellow for injuring Araujo with an intentional and bad challenge. I think Fermin’s challenge was a red and wreckless, but so was Niguez’s who literally purposely tackled the player and hurt him. You could also say Gavi should have been sent off, but so could have Niguez and Pedrosa and for what would have been Gavi’s second yellow the ref let Sevilla do it at least twice.

I won’t get into the rest of it, but that bit made laugh.
