Being 101st in goals is not desirable top 6 material and he is not build for a bottom 6 role.
So no, he is not an player i want on my NHL team making 4.25 mill

If you do the math, it does make him a top 6 player even when you drop centers out of the equation.

Arvidsson has the same amount of goals as Panarin, Zegras, Raymond and 1 more goal than Kane, Teravainen, Bergeron, Barzal, Stephenson. Dang there is a lot of talent in bottom 6 forwards out there.

You math perfectly fine but this is not the point.
We keep comparing our self with the lumber of the country.

The target is not to field e team that meets minimal requirements.
You do not win the cup when your top scorers are 101st in the NHL
and i would like to spend the millions on the top 20 scorer, not top 100

You're not getting a top 20 scorer at $4.25 million unless you luck into someone on an ELC that blows up immediately, like McDavid, Matthews, etc.

I'm not sure you watch the UFA markets but $4.25 million won't get you anyone better than what Arvidsson does now.

Top 6 , if you only count playoff contenting teams ( anywhere from 16 - 20 teams ) thats 32-40 times 3 ,so 96 to 120 players , being 101 qualifies as a top 6.

23 million cap cap space with only a few RFA to resign that will get minimal raises. not the slightest concerned.

Arvi was a cheap bridge guy to help this team be better. He will eventually be replaced by a prospect/acquisition: I never envisioned a new contract for him unless he just went apeshit out there.

Zeus didn't get a ring with the Kings but he was important in the process of it. I think Arvi is in a similar situation.
