At 6-7, 229 pounds, Los Angeles Kings right wing prospect Justin Auger doesn't immediately make you think that he's the type of player who might do much of anything with the puck, let alone put it in the net. But he scored 19 goals last season with the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League, having developed into more than just a big, tough guy.

Auger still has some work to do in the AHL, but could he turn out to be an upgrade to the Kings' third line right wing position in the future?

The Kings think he might be just that. To find out more, check out...

But we all ready have 3rd line RW for another 6 years?
Nice read, thanks Mr Matsuda.

While Auger's long reach and size is a positive, I think his lack of quickness, particularly with his time to release his shot or make a move with the puck, would not work well in the NHL. I am not convinced his game would translate well.
