My jerseys have their own temperature-controlled walk-in closet, custom-built when we had our house built. Retail grade shelving and hanging. Key access. They're well protected.........and since I'm the only one who accesses that closet, almost completely dust free -

is this for real?

Sasha Lakovic had 416 PIM in 95/96 and Jason Simon had 402 in 96/97. Darcy Loewen would be another good choice. Never huge numbers like that but near 200 most seasons.

Don't see too many pop up plus I'm more of an NHL jersey collector than IHL. Only have a half dozen IHL gamers currently. And I'm much more about the player than the shirt - I do have a LNAH Sherbrooke St. Francois Saints Sasha Lakovic jersey.

That said, if a Thunder Lakovic ever popped up, I'd be all over it!!

That's a lot of money in there, those are expensive jerseys and they hold their re-sale value from the tiny bit of research I've done. I find the prices shocking but we all have to have a hobby or a passion.

It is - its a large walk-in and we did have it built specifically for my jerseys when we had the house built. We also made sure it had a heating & a/c vent in it as well, hence its temp. controlled as is the rest of the house. And the door to it can be locked, hence key access.

The original shelving/hanging the builder put in came crashing down about a month after we moved in due to the weight of all of the jerseys, so I custom-ordered retail-grade shelving and hanging and rebuilt it so its double hung down one wall and has face-outs for gamers down the other.

Haha, same thing happened to me when my fiancé moved in. She's a clothes ***** and my big walk in closet finally gave in and everything crashed down to the floor one night after six months of strain.

The new houses, they cheap on everything...****ing builders put in finishing nails to hold up all that weight of the clothes, what a joke. I had a handyman come in and build the closet up properly.

Thanks - replicas and authentics I do wear although there are many I've never worn. Gamers I never wear - they are purely for collecting.

My wife's birth stone is a diamond - she's not lacking for much in that dept. - its a trade-off..........although I do have the best closet in the house by far, (exclusively for jerseys), which she reminds me of quite often.

I have that closet, the basement/man cave and the garage as my domain - she has the rest of the house. Man Cave has no jerseys down there, but I do have hundreds of game used enforcer hockey sticks, helmets, gloves & other equipment displayed down there, along with stadium seats, flat screen, etc. Its Red Wings themed (was a huge fan of the Wings from the mid-80's through the lock-out) so not appropriate for this thread, thus I won't post any picks here.

No Luc stuff from his Wings days, (pr. of g/u Hull mitts and a g/u 90-91 Stevie Y twig are a couple of the non-enforcer Wings items I have), but do have a pair of old-school purple & gold Kings mitts that were either briefly worn by Luc or at least issued to Luc. Everyone has their things they collect and enjoy. Personally, I enjoy collecting unopened o pee chee hockey packs/boxes from the 70's/80's and collecting the 70's/80's o pee chee hockey sets as well.
