For what it's worth, ADater just talked to Patrick Roy. Here are his lines for next year:

Ryan O’Reilly-Matt Duchene-P.A. Parenteau
Gabe Landeskog-Paul Stastny-Alex Tanguay
Jamie McGinn-Nathan MacKinnon-Steve Downie

Those are actually pretty ****ing good lines. But they'll still give up 300 goals.

I have been very vocal about not getting the geezers. I just have a feeling with Sutter here that its a possibility. I don't like the Regehr signing but understand it so I know DLs not scared of putting vets on the team. Scuds has priced himself out. If Iggy wants a cup, maybe a discount is possible

First off, we have 3 top six RWers. This has been stated over and over and over and over and over. We DON'T need RWers. Second, we're not signing Iggy. He's not going to sign for $1M, which is what we'd have to pay him. It's just flat out not happening. Ever.

interviews are only for the canadian teams thankfully, so it limits them. i think the pace is good. think back to past drafts, or even the NFL draft that used to take all day for the 1st round. this is clicking along nicely

They *motor* after round 1. It actually goes TOO fast. They spend all their time on the 1st round and then they fly through the final 6.

It shifts to NHL Network at 5PM.

It's already shaved big time this year. It will take like 3 hours, last year was over 4. Notice how teams are making their picks quickly this year, with no frivolous talk about thanking people, etc. Less than last year.

Theodore was a guy I think lots of people thought would be a 1st rounder. I see a lot Derrick Pouliout in him (who I feel was a bad pick at #8, would have been fine 25-30).

I suspect we'll see him in the NHL within 3 seasons.
