Post-Game Talk: LA drowning in Oil tonight

So many people both here and on other forums are really stuck on this "kings look tired" thing.

It's the first round, they're not tired after only 5 games of intense hockey, they're getting their asses handed to them on a shift by shift basis since at least the 3rd period of game 4. The Oilers have been ramping up their play since game 3, and the Kings are struggling to keep up and looking more and more ineffective, especially their older guys who they rely on way too much.

We’ve got 4 lines!! Who knew. They all played 200 feet. Took pressure off dmen and Pick in our end. Best team effort of the season. No even close
Kane and Frederic add so much to the forecheck that we can run with depth and wear LAK out of gas. Bring it home boys!

Still have a hard time believing NHL reffing is legit after Clarke put a massive cross check on Kane sending him flying into the net. Also the Byfield cover in the crease with the ref staring right at it.
After the harmonica show all whistles and wind instruments at Staples were confiscated. Can't have any more of that noise.

Whats next? Accordions?

Klingberg has played by far his best hockey this season in the playoffs. If he keeps it up I hope that we can bring him back. Frederic's skating is looking better and Kane has been just what the Dr. ordered.

I didn't like Klingberg's game in the regular season but he's been great in the playoffs. Frederic is looking better each game too. I wouldn't mind seeing both here next year at this point

Also, so stupid that an offsides call of a guy like a few inches offsides cost the Wild the game and probably series against Vegas. Just rid of that stupid offsides review, a play that had no real effect on the outcome.
It would have been nice if the guy was cognizant enough to try to stay onside.

We don't have to talk about Bouchard one way or the other which is probably a good thing. Lock it down.

I continue to wonder what Frederic brings over say Skinner, looks like a rusty player lacking confidence but these are quibbles.

Wish we saw more of this team during the year.

I felt like it was too much religion on Sunday. Man, 4hr mass. That was a lot of praying in that game 4.

I could hardly handle all that for that long. I was standing up most of the third period and tired by OT. lol
Watching now is different than when I was younger. I was intense, sure, but now it seems like it’s more stressful than anything. One thing hasn’t changed; these are some of my favourite moments in life. There’s never been anything much better than staying up late basking in the warm glow of an Oilers playoff win.

Love his answer and his effort.

As someone who has played competitive sports, Janmark is bang on. I wish reporters could stop asking the cliche question “What were you thinking on that goal?”. The game moves so fast, especially at the pro level. There’s hardly any time to actively think about where you’re going to shoot a puck. It’s all instinct.
