Post-Game Talk: LA drowning in Oil tonight

"Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
the band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
but there is no joy in L.A.—mighty Danault has struck out."
With apologies to Ernest Thayer

Great game by the Oilers but all kinds of trouble finishing. Janmark again the unlikely hero getting the crucial back breaking goal midway into third period. This guy sure gets more done in playoffs.

Pickard unsung hero stabilizing the Edmonton net so we can go on this run and have 3 game Wins.

Pickard GAA in series 2.something. Skinner is 6.18

Pickard also with his 2nd save % heater game.

That save with 3.5mins on a sneaky screen from Kempe labeled top corner. Skinner was never going to get to that one. Great save by Pickard.

Only shot that beat Pickard all nigth was a picture perfect deflection by Kuzmenko.

Kings look out of gas in this game. They had some in third period but Oilers checking and back pressure was aces in this game

yeah don't fire the coaching staff anytime.. This was a TEXTBOOK road W. One of the tightest playoff games an Oilers team has played.

I thought we would get better over time in this series but not like this.

No Ekholm either

But Walman is getting his game back and of course Klingberg is found money considering he might not have got a shot if Stecher didn't get injured

The Kings having no answer to Kane is huge too. They can't do anything to him. Too physical, enough skill.

Pickard was solid and the team plays with a lot of confidence with him in net.

Klingberg was excellent tonight, lots of strong defensive plays and his puck movement was very good. He looked like a legit top 4 D man.

Playoff Janitor is a beast and comes up big yet again.

If we play like this, we can beat every team in the NHL.
Klingberg has played by far his best hockey this season in the playoffs. If he keeps it up I hope that we can bring him back. Frederic's skating is looking better and Kane has been just what the Dr. ordered.
