Couldn’t hand the puck, couldn’t make or take a pass, few chances we had bounced off our sticks, bad bounces leading to goals. Bout sums it up tonight. All round stinker. Hope they enjoyed the beach.

Jets need to find a way to beat the trap - like really

And a top 4 D fast while pionk is still in his contract year
Exactly. Teams will use this as a blue print to beat the Jets. The positive posters look for excuses for losses but even in wins the pessimistic posters like me see the issues that will prevent them from making it out of round 1.

Three games in a row where the Jets have been badly outshot. This is concerning.

No different that any other team has to face at some point in the season.
no team has as good of a record as the jets either, also there are teams with way easier schedules then the jets just based on location

I guess we only out played and beat good teams because it was an off night for that team and when ever we lose it's because that team played a playoff style of game...

seriously this team has needed rest for a while now, 3 game east coast 1 home then 1 east 2 central then 1 pacific is f***ing brutal.

If you had mentioned time zone changes I would have thought this to be Paul Maurice's burner account :sarcasm: ;)

Jets are running on fumes. Playing every other day with a tonne of travel I between. I'll take going .500 to Xmas. It's why building up a the cushion we did was huge.

I guess there is a blueprint on us, weird that tampa/florida only used it for 1 game of the 2 we played, guess nashville got it as well, too bad they don't have a blue print to beat any other team...

18-5

There are teams with tougher schedules as well. All teams go through this bizarre time-zone jump throughout the season at some point.
and none of those teams are 18-5... also would like to see another team that plays 3 away 1 home 6 away 1 home 2 away with the time zone changes after a month straight of playing every other day...

I'd like to see the Jets pick up a solid defenseman until Samberg gets back. We should have tried to hang on to Cappo, and Chisholm.

I'm just not at all sold on Heinola. He got caught on 2 plays tonight, that should not have happened. I don't see him being a regular on this team, in the future.

No excuses still the #1 team in the league but seriously have you watched the majority of the Jets games this year?
Yes LA gets some credit but it was the Jets who did not play their A game.
LA needed 2 deflections and a missed assignment to win the game that is not going to happen too often against the Jets.
The blue print to beat the Jets or any good teams is throw the puck deep into the corner and pressure the defensemen with 2 forecheckers.

Just look at the schedule of all the teams and you will see it happens for several if not most of them.
just went thru the entire central, closest was chicago playing flames wild then 3 days off and buffalo, nothing close to this and not going to waste my time doing the rest of the divisions

2nd line just not getting anything done especially on nights where the top line isn’t clicking.

Only legit top 6 forward on line two can’t do it all by himself but he tries! Names and Perfetan are fraud top 6’s

Jets need another legit top 6 and another top 4 D to be considered real contenders

This is true that's why you have winning and losing streaks.
But what I don't like about the schedule it does give teams some advantages like tell me why both games in Nashville the Jets had to play in another city the night before. In February they fly from Ottawa to Nashville playing B2B and its also their 3rd game in 4 night.
Also 2 of the 4 games vs the Avs the Jets play the night before.
All divisional games no team should get an advantage. Playing a team B2B from another division is only 2 points but divisional games are 4 points.

I missed the start of the game and fell asleep for the end of it. Kind of like the Jets.

Thought the Jets would generate more offense on a former backup goalie of theirs, but give the Kings credit they defended well and in numbers. Played some big boy hockey that resembles the playoffs. Look better without Dubois.

That Clarke kid sure gave the Jets troubles. Byfield too. Kupari had the jets for this game. Wish he had got the power play instead of the penalty shot.

I'll say this though, the Jets look like a different team on home ice/good ice. A lot of rolling and bouncing pucks out there doesn't make for the same kind of puck movement and maybe backs the d off a bit when you have to watch for the hoppers.

I think the Jets need home ice advantage to reach their peak. This road trip grinds into some hard nosed hockey at the end and the Jets so far have been average, which in most seasons is an expected road trip.

I wonder what kind of changes you see against Vegas. Heinola wasn't bad in his ice time, made some plays. A little soft on the d zone coverage one on one but it was a tough assignment tonight without the puck a lot. I still think Stanley draws in for the PK, which is starting to give up some points. So who goes out will be interesting.

Exactly right Sip, and we need to get rid of Tiny Hiney, get Samberg back, get a big physical and talented R - defenseman, and another top 6 forward to be real contenders.

For now - the thrill is gone.

The Jets looked like a very tired hockey team right from the drop of the puck. It's going to happen every now and again to every single team in the league so i don't think we need to do a rebuild just yet. Hopefully they have more energy for Vegas.
